MUMBAI: The South film industry is trying to make larger-than-life films that will attract the audience pan-India. One more Telugu biggie is all set to get a pan-India release; we are talking about the Samantah Ruth Prabhu starrer Shaakuntalam. The movie is directed by Gunasekhar and it is slated to release on 17th February 2023.
Today, the makers have unveiled the trailer of the film, and it is strictly average. The trailer reveals the whole story, and the most disappointing factor in it is the VFX. The VFX is really bad, and maybe it might look better on the big screen and in 3D; on a computer, laptop, or mobile phone, it will surely fail to impress the audience.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu shines in the trailer. She is a good actress and as Shaakuntalam we can expect a stunning performance from her. Dev Mohan looks nice as King Dushyanta. It will be interesting to see Samantha and Dev’s chemistry in the movie.
Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha will also be seen in the film. She will be playing the role of Prince Bharata, and we get a small glimpse of her in the trailer.

Shaakuntalam is a Telugu film, but it will be dubbed and released in various languages like Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. While in the South the film might get a good response at the box office, in Hindi it will be interesting to see whether it will attract the audience or not.
