MUMBAI: Pushpa 2: The Rule has been a phenomenal success, collecting a record-breaking ₹1,800 crore worldwide and becoming the third highest-grossing Indian film ever. After a triumphant theatrical run, the Allu Arjun-starrer recently debuted on OTT, continuing to draw massive viewership. Fans have been mesmerized by Arjun’s electrifying performance and Sukumar’s masterful direction. The makers recently hosted a special Thank You meeting where Arjun expressed gratitude to Sukumar, giving him credit for the recognition every team member received in the film.

Allu Arjun credited the director fo his performance, saying, “The reason I could perform so well is that Sukumar loves performances. Any actor becomes a bad actor without good guidance, no matter how great a performer they are. Thank you for guiding all of us and making us do a ‘reasonably good’ job.”  He added how every actor is a part of his vision, “We are all characters in his dream and images in his projection. It’s the director who communicates directly with the audience,”

Allu Arjun called himself Sukumar’s biggest fan, expressing, “Thank you so much for making us win. On behalf of the entire Telugu film industry, thank you for making us feel so proud — we all owe you this. Sukumar, for me, is not just a person but an emotion. I’m your biggest fan.” He further added, “The joy people feel while watching a movie is the same joy I experience when you narrate a scene to me. You are a maverick. I keep telling people who are close to me that I’m glad I am close to such a maverick of a director.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings with music on T Series. Pushpa 2: the Rule is now available to stream on Netflix.
