Although Gini tricked Abhay and married him, Abhay had once loved Anjali. Because Gini betrayed his trust and married him under false pretences, Abhay has not been able to forgive her and accept her as his wife.
Abhay gets keen to catch a glimpse of Anjali because he has never seen her. With Gini's phone, he will make a call to Anjali to let her know how he feels and to hear her voice.
Because Anjali is solely concerned with improving her career, she doesn't love Abhay and wants him to prioritize his marriage before her. However, Gini gets angry when she finds that Abhay is trying to get in touch with Anjali once again.
