MUMBAI: Barrister Babu is popular among the audience. Set in Bengal, it narrates the life of a child bride, Bondita. Barrister Babu explores the nuances of a patriarchal society in pre-independent India, in which girl’s education and rights were considered a taboo.

In the present track, Anirudh rushes to see Bondita and comes to know about her wound. He realizes that when he rescued her from the ruins, she had bruised her leg. The bruise turns poisonous and indicates serious complications. Anirudh calls for the doctor, but he suggests that Bondita needs to get her leg cut. There are barely any chances for any other treatment.
In the upcoming episode, Anirudh decides to take Bondita to the reputed hospitals in Kolkata for treatment. He announces his decision to Thaku maa and mentions, "I will not wait for your permission, Bondita is my responsibility."
Previously, Thaku maa had put forth another vile condition in front of Anirudh to leave Bondita. The doctor confirms that only Thaku maa can save her leg from getting cut. Anirudh is in a major dilemma about whether to save Bondita's life or save her from child marriage. Anirudh is forced to choose Bondita's life over her dreams.

In the upcoming episode, Anirudh leaves for Tulsipur only for Bondita's safety. He leaves a letter and Durga Maa's idol at their doorstep for Bondita. In the letter, he tries to be as harsh as possible to make Bondita believe that he is gone for good. Thaku maa's pressure leaves him shattered.
