Bhagya Lakshmi: Interesting Twist! Malishka defames Lakshmi and her child, Rishi comes to her rescue

We already know that Malishka is looking for a way to humiliate and defame Lakshmi. Further, Rishi will tell Malishka that Lakhsmi isn’t pregnant with his child since they haven’t yet consummated their marriage.

Lakshmi uses this as the golden opportunity she was looking for and questions Lakshmi about the child’s father in front of everyone. Malishka calls her characterless and calls the child illegitimate. By this point, Rishi has reached the peak of his patience and since he can’t bear Lakshmi being humiliated, he claims the child as his.

Malishka stops him from calling someone else’s child as his own but Rishi doesn’t budge and Malishka can’t comprehend as to why he would lie when he himself told her that it can’t be his child.

What is Rishi trying to achieve here?
