MUMBAI :Sony Sab’s 'Dhruv Tara' is a romantic drama that revolves around Dhruv and Tara, who are from two different eras. Tara, a princess from the 17th century, travels through time and arrives in the present day, where she meets Dhruv.
At the onset, the show unveils 17th century Princess Tarapriya (played by Riya Sharma) who is a secret Vaidya, her brother Prince Mahaveer (Krishna Bharadwaj), and their father, King Udaybhaan (Yash Tonk). Meanwhile, in the present day, Dhruv (played by Ishaan Dhawan) is seen in Agra near the Taj Mahal when an unidentified dupatta from the 17th century lands on him. It also showcases how Tara’s mother Rani Kanupriya (played by Narayani Shashtri) advises Tara to travel into the 21st century to find a cure for her brother’s illness.

Previously, when Sushila accuses Tara of being cunning, Tara decides to prove her innocence by giving an Agni Pariksha.
However, Tara leaves the house with just a letter behind for Dhruv. Therefore, Dhruv goes looking for Tara.
Shockingly, Dhruv and Tara end up getting married and Sushila comes to know about it. Therefore, when Sushila watches Dhruv and Tara coming out of the wedding ceremony, she slaps Dhruv.
Sushila is angry with Dhruv and throws him and Tara out of the house. Dhruv tries to open the door but ends up falling on a rod that hurts his neck and it puts Dhruv's life in danger. However, Tara enters the house as Dhruv’s bride and this makes Sushila so angry that she threatens to leave the house.
Interestingly, Tara gets ready as a newlywed and comes to meet Dhruv’s Nani but is not wearing a mangalsutra.
Nani asks Dhruv to tie a holy thread around Tara’s neck symbolising the same.
Interestingly, Dhruv and Tara start living in the Saxena household as husband and wife where Dhruv assures Tara that she is safe and can trust him. Tara informs Dhruv that she trusts him like she believes in her Krishna.
To everyone’s shock, Sushila accepts Dhruv and Tara's marriage. However, later Sushila shows Tara the video of her beating up the goons. Tara tries to defend herself but Sushila ends up throwing Tara in front of a car.
Now, Dhruv and Tara come to know that Sushila has been arrested due to Tarun and so they rush to the police station where Tara takes the blame on herself, and the police arrest Tara.
