MUMBAI: Sony TV’s new show named Jagannath Aur Purvi Ki Dosti Anokhi is based on an old couple Jagannath and Kusum Mishra and a girl named Purvi Singh.

Jagannath is upset with Purvi after knowing her truth but her parent's reaction makes him sad.
Being abandoned, Jagannath does not wish to leave Purvi but is unhappy with the situation.
Later, Purvi resists getting intimate before marriage and she pressurizes Babu to get married soon.
Babu fails to convince his family and is tensed by Purvi's demands.
On the other hand, Viren is worried about his ATM card. Jagannath is sad for Viren.
His savings are withdrawn while Jagannath thinks that it’s Viren's son.
However, there is a shocking twist as it is revealed that Viren's grandson is the real culprit.
Jagannath is upset with the new generation of children and worried for future.
