MUMBAI: Colors presents Durga, a tale of a tribal girl who defies social expectations to follow her love for the royal heir Anurag and become a doctor, despite opposition from strong tribal woman Paani Bai.
Starring Pranali Rathod as Durga, Indira Krishnan as Paani Bai, and Aashay Mishra as Anurag, and produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures, the show is set in Jodhpur, the story follows Durga, a tribal girl aspiring to become a doctor.

Anurag tells Durga that he will stop his marriage to Rajesh and that he will never allow Pani Bai to succeed in her drama. Durga is also sure.
Though Pani Bau forces him, Vikram wants not to be married and wants to ensure he has Durga's support because she is his face in the election.
The story takes an intriguing turn when Savitri gets upset with Vikram and Pani Bai for thinking of marrying Durga while, in her eyes, she is still a child.
While Savitri is enjoying all that has been going on and how Pani Bai is being questioned for whatever wrong she may have done there, Anurag is supporting Durga in her fight against Pani Bai and Vikram.
In the upcoming episodes, Chandni warns Durga that Rajesh won't tolerate her standing up for herself. Vikram insists on inviting the couple for the pag phera despite Savitri's reluctance.
Meera asks if Durga will observe Karwa Chauth, and Durga agrees. Later, Meera who is curious about Durga's marriage, senses there's more to the story.
