MUMBAI : Colors presents Durga, a tale of a tribal girl who defies social expectations to follow her love for the royal heir Anurag and become a doctor, despite opposition from strong tribal woman Paani Bai. Starring Pranali Rathod as Durga, Indira Krishnan as Paani Bai, and Aashay Mishra as Anurag, and produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures, the show is set in Jodhpur, the story follows Durga, a tribal girl aspiring to become a doctor.
It has been seen recently that Durga prays to the goddess in order to obtain the opportunity to finish her medical education and to stop depending on others.
Pani Bai is informed by Vikram, though, that he cannot lose Durga and that if she marries someone else, he might not win the election. She is to be the face of his elections, according to him.
When Pani Bai informs him that she may end his career in a matter of seconds if she so chooses, the story takes an intriguing turn. She asks him to comply with her request. Vikram becomes anxious.
When Savitri challenges Inder about Vikram's decision regarding Durga, she claims she has no value and that he hasn't told her anything about it.
We'll see in the upcoming episodes how Pani Bai drives Anurag insane with her fear of losing Durga and convinces him that he won't be able to see her again if she marries someone else.
