These days, the storyline of the show is focusing on Virat and how he is hiding the truth about Shruti from Sai and he feels guilty about it, on the other hand, Sai also suspects that Virat is up to something.

Previously we see that Sai and Virat who are deeply in love with each other get separated by destiny.
Virat holds on to his secret about Shruti being his friend Sadanand's wife to not put others in danger.
But as the truth is hidden to everyone, Sai assumes that Virat has an affair with Shruti and also has a child with her.
Moreover, the whole Chavan family sees Virat with Shruti and the kid, and they bad-mouth Shruti.
Because of this, Shruti goes through an emotional trauma while Sai and Pulkit come to know about it.
On the other side, Virat breaks down in pain and he dwells on his loneliness.
Virat craves for someone to understand him and have faith in him.
