MUMBAI: Delving into the lives of two strong-willed women from two diametrically opposing societal settings, each inspirational in their respective worlds, Sony Entertainment Television brings viewers a captivating story with ‘Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum’. The show follows the journeys of Damayanti, the principled traditionalist matriarch of the royal Barot family based in Ranak and Surilii, a vibrant and modern thinking young girl.
In the previous episode, a furious Madhumalti storms into the palace to confront Damayanti about her broken promise to marry her daughter Swatilekha to her eldest son, Shivendra.
With anger in her eyes, Madhumalti challenges Damayanti, questioning her ability to uphold her own words as a queen.
Damayanti calmly explains to her that the fulfilment of a prince's desires cannot be equated to marriage, emphasising that no union is accepted within the palace without her approval.
Meanwhile, Surilli mistakenly believes that Shivendra has lied to her once again. However, Shivendra will attempt to reassure Surilli, but his efforts will prove fruitless, leaving him disappointed and leaving from there.
In the upcoming episode, Maanvendra explains to Surilii how Damayanti finalised Swatilekha for Shivendra without his consent and how he never promised to marry her.
This melts Surili's heart and she mends her relations with Shivendra, where he asks for a promise to face the future together.
No matter how difficult things may become between them, they will always end up being there for each other at the end of the day.
How will Shivendra and Surilii's married life go?
