MUMBAI : Imlie is one of the most loved and successful shows on television, being among the top 4 shows when it comes to the BARC ratings. The story has taken a major turn with Aryan and Imlie’s death and Imlie season 2 starting.
We saw a huge leap in the show after which Meethi and Cheeni are all grown up.
In the latest episode, we saw that at the engagement ceremony, Atharva gets shocked to learn the truth about his would-be wife. When he is asked to put the ring on, Imlie advances her hand and Atharva is left shocked as Rudra announces Imlie as the to-be daughter-in-law of Rana family.

Atharva asks his father to talk to him privately in the middle of the engagement ceremony. Atharva reveals to Rudra that he loves Cheeni and cannot marry Imlie. Rudra is shocked to learn this and says that Cheeni is not fit to be their daughter-in-law.
In the upcoming episode, we will see that Atharva tells his family that he will tell Imlie the truth. He tries to talk to her but because everyone is there, he is unable to speak to Imlie privately. He then texts her that he cannot marry her because he loves Cheeni. He requests Imlie to let Cheeni know his feelings and to wear a yellow saree if Cheeni feels the same way for Atharva. He keeps the saree near the temple.
Later, we see the current goes and Imlie comes down in the saree. Since there is a blackout, Atharva thinks it is Cheeni and gets engaged to her. As soon as the light comes back on, Atharva is shocked to see that it is imlie.
We get to know that Akash and Keya sneakily take Imlie’s phone and read the text Atharva sent her and drop the phone in water. Imlie never gets to read the text. A waiter drops something on Imlie’s dress so Keya makes her change into the yellow saree deliberately. Akash on the other hand, cuts the current off.
Will Atharva break Imlie’s heart? Will Cheeni get what she wants?
