It seems that Shrishti hates Jhanak to the point where she wishes for her death or life to be ruined.
She thus plays a significant role in Anirudh and Arshi's wedding.
Taking the aarti plate, Shrishti blesses Anirudh and Arshi. She hopes Arshi becomes a well-known dancer, but she believes Jhanak will be a burden in her life.
Because of this, Shrishti purposefully leaves the burning diya on Jhanak's saree and tilts it, causing Jhanak's saree to catch fire.
Jhanak's saree catches fire and she panics when the diya drops on Arshi's saree and her saree too catches fire.
Anirudh saves Arshi, while Choton saves Jhanak.
However, Arshi seems to be severely burned and falls.
Although Shrishti's own daughter fell victim to her undesirable sinister master plan, it was her true intention to harm Jhanak.
