MUMBAI: The Ramayana is a timeless Hindu epic that is brought to life in 'Shrimad Ramayan' with a deep commitment to authenticity, cultural reverence, and contemporary sensibility. The epic narrative of the Ramayana is rooted in the two words "Ram" and "Ayana," where "Ayana" signifies a journey and "Ram" is the human incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
The Ramayana unfolds through the voyage of Ram, a mortal who ascends to become Purushottam, the paragon among men, transcending his own inherent limitations.
Shrimad Ramayan transitions to Sony SAB, as the story enters a new chapter. The show stars Sujay Reu, Prachi Bansal, Basant Bhatt, Nirbhay Wadhwa, Nikitin Dheer, Aarav Chowdhary, Shilpa Saklani. It is directed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Sumit Thakur, Loknath Pandey and produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary and Swastik Productions.

The new chapter of the divine tale of Shrimad Ramayan explores the joys and trials of Lord Ram and Sita’s life after their return to Ayodhya and the birth of their twins Luv and Kush.
After Sita takes the ultimate purity test the famous ‘Agnipariksha’, Ram finally gets ready to take over the throne but before that he claims that only Sita's blessings will enable him to ascend the throne. And so, Ram and Sita finally start their journey to return to Ayodhya after 14 long years and after reaching Ayodhya, Lord Ram and Sita receive a warm welcome with a dazzling display of diyas! We get to see Ayodhya bursting with joy as everyone dances and lights diyas to welcome Lord Ram and Sita
As the Ram Rajya begins, Lord Ram and Sita perform the ‘Rajya Abhishek’ ceremony and then Lord Hanuman prays to Lord Ram and Sitama in front of the royal throne.
Previously, Lord Ram remains steadfast in his promise to never disappoint his people. Things get serious when Sugreev comments on Lord Ram leaving Sita while she is fasting.
Later, Goddess Sita shows confidence in Lord Ram that he will put an end to the unjust practices but Lord Ram faces widespread criticism for his actions regarding Sita.
Finally, Lord Ram vows to preserve the ancestral places established by his family.
Now, things get tough for Lord Ram as he has to choose between his kingdom and his wife.
