MUMBAI : Mumbai: Colors TV is back with another promising show called Sherdil Shergill. The show stars Surbhi Chandna and Dheeraj Dhoopar in lead roles. It is a modern-day love story between the leads and has an intriguing and progressive plot. Manmeet is an unmarried mother to her son, Anmol and later finds a partner in Raj.

The show seems to have a promising plot.

Previously, Manmeet and Raj are married and it was their first night as a married couple. Raj longingly looks at Manmeet who is trying to take off all the heavy and irritating jewellery that she adorned for the wedding.

Soon, Raj hugs Manmeet and tells her how unromantic she is but before he could complete his thought Manmeet stops him and says that she can’t be an old fashioned typical bride.

Now, we will see that Raj and Manmeet are still dazed after their marriage and Raj carries Manmeet over to a specially decorated room.

Later, Manmeet enters the kitchen with Nirali.

We know that Manmeet is ambitious and doesn’t accept conventional notions and expectations that the society has from women.

However, it seems like her principles will clash with Nirali’s pre-established notions as to what a daughter-in-law’s duties comprise of.

Nirali asks Brijesh to help out Manmeet in the kitchen and states that it will now be on Manmeet’s shoulders to take care of the kitchen, the household and the people.

Nirali muses that she wants Manmeet to know what a desi mother-in-law is like.

How will Manmeet deal with this?

Will Manmeet fight back to these traditional expectations?
