As the Janmashtami festivities come to an end, Abhira and Armaan's wedding preparations are getting underway. But Kaveri has taken an unexpected turn as a result of Sanjay's exploitation of her, pressuring Abhira to sign a prenuptial agreement.
Abhira is taken aback by this sudden demand, but she is unwavering in her resolve to reject the deal.
The Poddar family is seen participating in the festival and wearing traditional Himachali clothing in the next episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Manish becomes skeptical as Abhira and Armaan's pre-wedding events adhere to Himachali customs.
He approaches Abhira, who is occupied lighting diyas, and inquires inquisitively about something that has been on his mind. Abhira lights the diya gently and listens intently. "You're from Mussoorie, but this ritual is Himachali," inquires Manish. What does it have to do with you?" Manish gets more suspicious when Abhira says, "My father is from Kasoli," in response.
When he inquires about her mother's name, Abhira responds with a smile, "Akshara." When Manish learns that Abhira is Akshara's daughter, he is astounded. Armaan's cousins show up before he can inquire further and take Abhira away.
