Neetu Chandra' Bhojpuri film selected for IFFI

Finding no support for her no-cheesiness Bhojpuri production Deswa among her friends from Bollywood, actress Neetu Chandra has moved far ahead. <em>Deswa</em>, directed by Neetu’s brother Nitin Chandra has now been selected for the Indian Panorama Section of 43rd Edition of International Film Festival of India, to be held at Goa from 20th to 30th November, 2012. <em>Deswa</em>, a film about unemployed youngsters of rural Bihar taking to crime, is the first Bhojpuri film to be thus honoured.

Jayaprada gets into film production up West

After having established herself as a film producer down South, Jaya Prada has almost finalised her plans to take to film production. She will shortly shift base to Mumbai and start a full-fledged production house. In this connection, she has already bought an office in Juhu. The actress-filmmaker has signed Dinkar Kapoor, who once assisted Abbas-Mustan in <em>Baazigar</em>, to direct her first venture as producer that will be a Bhojpuri film.
