Dabangg 2
It’s been a terrific year for The Tiger. Salman Khan had a blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger earlier this year during Eid. Now he’s all set to break all records with Dabangg 2. Early indications are that Dabangg 2 would not only exceed the box office profits of Dabangg and Ek Tha Tiger, it would probably become one of the biggest hits of Salman’s career.
Understandably there is an air of heightened jubilation in the Khan household, more so since it’s Salman’s 47th birthday on 27 December.

Starring Salman Khan, Salman Khan, Salman Khan, Salman Khan
Directed by Arbaaz Khan
Rating: *** ?
For those who thought Chulbul Pandey in Abinav Kashyap’s Dabangg was whacky and fun only because Salman Khan played him, here is more spoof-proof in the sequel of how Salman adopts embraces and assimilates the characters he plays until one can’t tell the star apart from the character.

Autorickshaw driver Ram Lal, who generally moves in the vicinity of Bandra, is a diehard Salman Khan fan. Every time his favourite star’s film releases, he decks up his auto with the film’s name.
He has also driven his auto in one of the scenes in both Dabangg as well as Dabangg 2. His biggest moment was when he met the megastar on the sets during the shoot.

Though the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) was largely happy with the content of Dabangg 2 apparently some members of the Examining Committee noticed an aberration in some sequences which if not corrected could have caused a national furore.
Apparently the national emblem framed on the wall of Chulbul Pandey’s police station depicted it incorrectly.
Sensitive to the slightest abnormality pertaining to national sentiments the CBFC has asked producer-director Arbaaz Khan to simply blur the corner of the film’s frames where the national emblem appears.

Who wouldn’t want their product to be sold through Salman Khan? If there are any doubts as to his current star status, they can now be laid to rest. Judging by the insane rush to attach trailers to Salman’s latest release, there’s no doubt as to who the biggest star of them all is.
Apparently 13-14 major producers and directors put in their application for their trailers to be attacked to Dabangg 2. These included some of the biggest films under-production or on the verge of release .Now, it has come to light that only two trailers have made it to the final cut.

Even before the New Year dawns, people are drawing up a long list of things to do. Except for Salman Khan whose 2013 calendar is already choc-o-bloc with a series of his future films.
Among these, Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut Kick is the first. The Dabangg star has officially confirmed that he will start shooting for Nadiadwala’s Hindi remake of a South film next year as soon as his film with Sohail Khan gets over. Sohail’s film is targeted to hit the theatres next Eid.

It looks like the war between Salman-Arbaaz Khan and Abhinav Kashyap over Dabangg is finally over. The two parties were locked in a silent war when Abhinav refused to direct the sequel to Dabangg opting instead to move on to what were apparently greener pastures. The Khans brothers saw red.Much acrimony was swapped on the issue.
