It looks like the war between Salman-Arbaaz Khan and Abhinav Kashyap over <em>Dabangg</em> is finally over. The two parties were locked in a silent war when Abhinav refused to direct the sequel to <em>Dabangg</em> opting instead to move on to what were apparently greener pastures.The Khans brothers saw red.Much acrimony was swapped on the issue.

It isn’t for nothing that the much-anticipated item song in Dabangg 2 is called ‘Fevicol’. We’ve come to know that producer-director Arbaaz Khan has tied up with the multi-national company for a huge collaborative project before allowing Kareena to croon in favour of the well-known adhesive company. Kareena started shooting the ‘Fevicol’ song from 5 November onwards. This is the first time Kareena returns to the arc lights after her much-hyped wedding on 18 October. Farah Khan choreographs the number.

For his brother Arbaaz’s Dabangg 2 Salman Khan has decided not to shoot in Lucknow and Kanpur for security reasons. Not his own security, but that of his unit and the local people. We’ve come to know from the highly-placed sources in the Uttar Pradesh administration that the Khans were “strongly advised” against bringing Salman to shoot on location in Lucknow and Kanpur.

Model turned actor Sandeepa Dhar feels lucky to have got the opportunity to act alongside a star of the status Salman Khan in just her second film in <em>Dabangg 2</em>. Talking about her experience shooting for the movie, Sandeepa states, "I have been a huge fan of Salman right from my childhood. I was very excited when I got a call from Arbaaz Khan for the role in <em>Dabangg 2</em>. I accepted the offer without even asking about my character graph. In the movie, I play a girl next door and I have a typical Indian look.”

After YRF’s Ek Tha Tiger that releases this 15 August, Salman Khan fans will eagerly wait for 21 December when Arbaaz Khan’s <em>Dabangg 2</em> will hit the screens. Director Arbaaz Khan, who has been regularly tweeting on the progress of his film tweeted again saying, “Well for all the Chulbul Pandey fans… <em>Dabangg 2</em> is almost 60 per cent complete, we resume shoot after the promotion and release of <em>Ek Tha Tiger</em>. <em>Dabangg 2</em> is slated for an end of the year Christmas release.”

Yesterday’s (25 June 2012) report that Salman Khan has been advised to stay off action sequences due to his neurological condition has upset the industry. The advice comes at a time when most of Salman’s films namely Dabangg 2, Ek Tha Tiger or the upcoming Sohail Khan film Sher Khan are all action-oriented.

The shooting for Dabangg 2 resumes on Monday after the mishap episode that was reported in the media. The film’s producer-director Arbaaz Khan says the injured are fine. “They suffered blunt injuries. It will take them a few days to heal. They will soon be discharged from hospital.We packed up shooting after the injury. But we we resume from Monday.”
