Yesterday’s (25 June 2012) report that Salman Khan has been advised to stay off action sequences due to his neurological condition has upset the industry. The advice comes at a time when most of Salman’s films namely Dabangg 2, Ek Tha Tiger or the upcoming Sohail Khan film Sher Khan are all action-oriented. Rumi Jaffery, who has written a number of films for Salman has expressed surprise at the news. “If it was that serious, Salman would have himself opted for romantic and comedy films instead of hardcore action ones. He would have certainly chosen another story,” said Rumi, who has written the story of Sher Khan. Describing the stars penchant for taking risks, Jaffery revealed, “People as well as we friends keep advising him so many things, ‘don’t do this, don’t do that’ but Salman doesn’t listen. That is his nature. Let me tell you of one instance, about a decade ago during the making of Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, we were asking him not to jump from terrace of Hotel Centaur and let the body double do so, but he took the leap himself.” Well… we are sure that the fans simply want to see Salman all fit and fine!!!
