<p>Punjab ADGP Promod Ban said, “Heavy exchange of fire took place today, two gangsters involved in Sidhu Moose Wala case Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh were killed. We have recovered an AK47 and a pistol. 3 police officials have also suffered minor injuries,” in a media interaction.</p>

<p>Anmol Bishnoi and Sachin Thapan have plotted the singer’s murder and hired shooters, gave them equipment and soon fled the country using fake passports, according to the police.</p>

<p>The death of the singer is said to be the result of a gang war and the rise of the gangster-culture in Punjab. The incident took place after the Punjab Government took off the security given to 424 people, including Moose Wala, in order to curb the VIP culture.</p>

AP Dhillon took to social media after this tragic incident and tried to pen the harsh reality of the industry they worked in. The singer revealed that in spite of receiving threats and hatemongering comments, they continue to work for what they love.
