MUMBAI : The 28-year-old singer and rapper was brutally shot dead and succumbed to multiple bullet wounds. He was paid homage by many of his colleagues from the Punjabi Music Industry and his fans pan-India. He was killed in the Mansa district.
Now, we get to know that two of the late singer’s killers were gunned down after a heavy exchange of fire with the Punjab police. It happened on Wednesday, near Amritsar.
The gangsters who were killed are identified as Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh and an AK47 was recovered from them after the encounter. Three police officers and a journalist sustained injuries and a forensic reached the spot for further investigation.
Punjab ADGP Promod Ban said, “Heavy exchange of fire took place today, two gangsters involved in Sidhu Moose Wala case Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh were killed. We have recovered an AK47 and a pistol. 3 police officials have also suffered minor injuries,” in a media interaction.
The Punjab Congress has demanded “attention” of the Centre and the state governments regarding the current situation that is going on in the state.
The official further notified that the accused were being kept track of and following a movement in that area, the police acted upon it. Promod Ban is also the head of the Anti-Gangster Task Force.
