Maryam Zakaria, of Iranian-Swedish origin, who has earlier done two item numbers, one <em>Pritam Pyaare</em> in <em>Rowdy Rathore</em> and the second <em>Dil Mera Muft Ka</em> in <em>Agent Vinod</em> has bagged the first lead role of her career in Indra Kumar's upcoming film <em>Grand Masti</em> in which she has been paired opposite Aftab Shivdasani. Having stayed in India for quite some time, the waiting period to strike big in Bollywood wasn't really difficult for her as there was something or the other happening practically every year in her three year stint so far.

In an industry alleged to be driven only by opportunism it is heartening to see some people actually put aside their own interests for emotional reasons. The sequel to <em>Masti</em> entitled <em>Grand Masti</em> was scheduled to take off earlier this week. But now because of Riteish Deshmukh’s father Vilasrao Deshmukh’s critical health condition, the film’s commencement has been put off by a few days.
