Veteran actor Govinda is known for his string of comedy hits in the 1990s. Govinda is one of the most adored comedy performers in Hindi cinema celebrated for his memorable roles in films such as Hero No. 1, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Dulhe Raja, Coolie No. 1, and Partner.

Govinda gained widespread recognition in the 1990s for his flawless comedic timing and lively on-screen persona and was particularly well-known for his working relationship with director David Dhawan. Even though they had an excellent time together, the pair's last project together, Partner (2007), ended badly. However, recent events suggest that Govinda and David Dhawan have finally made a reconciliation, ending their long-running discord.
