MUMBAI : The audience, especially the moviebuffs are always observant about what's happening in the world of cinema. It's not just about the movie but everything that the movie consists of. Be it the actor, the director, the story writers or cinematographers, the moviebuffs have their eyes on everything and everyone.

One of the observations made by some of the people in the audience is the fact about how some movies were actually unofficially inspired by older Hindi movies.

Here we bring to you the list of such movies:

Khiladi - Khel Khel Mein

Directed by Abbas Mustan, Khiladi stared Akshay Kumar, Deepak Tijori and Ayesha Jhulka. This 1992 movie was unofficially inspired by 1975 movie Khel Khel mein directed by Ravi Tandon and starring Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Rakesh Roshan.

Aatish – Deewaar

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Aatish stared Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Pancholi, Raveena Tandon. This 1994 movie was unofficially inspired by 1975 movie Deewaar directed by Yash Chopra and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Parveen Babi and many more.

Om Shanti Om – Madhumati

Directed by Farah Khan, Om Shanti Om stared Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal. This 2007 movie was unofficially inspired by 1958 movie Madhumati directed by Bimal Roy and starring Vyjayanthimala, Dilip Kumar, Pran and Johnny Walker.

Golmaal - Bol Bachchan

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Bol Bachchan stared Abhishek Bachchan, Prachi Desai, Ajay Devgn and Asin. This 2012 movie was unofficially inspired by 1979 movie Golmaal directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starring Amol Palekar, Bindiya Goswami, and Deven Varna.

Don – Sachaa Jhutha - China Town

Directed by Chandra Barot, Don stared Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, Pran and Mac Mohan and more. This 1978 movie was unofficially inspired by 1970 movie Sachaa Jhutha directed by Manmohan Desai starring Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna, Mumtaz, Kumari Naaz, and Faryal. Interestingly, this movie was also unofficially inspired by 1962’s comedy thriller movie China Town directed by Shakti Samanta, starring Shammi Kapoor, Shakila, Tun Tun, M. B. Shetty, and Madan Puri.

Hero no. 1 - Baawarchi

Directed by David Dhawan, Hero No. 1 stared Govinda, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Kadar Khan. This 1997 movie was unofficially inspired by 1972 movie Bawarchi directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starring Rajesh Khanna, Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Asrani, and Usha Kiran.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! - Nadiya Ke Paar

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! starred Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Renuka Shahane, Mohnish Bahl, Reema Lagoo and many more. This 1994 movie was unofficially inspired by 1982 movie Nadiya Ke Paar directed by Govind Moonis starring Sadhana Singh, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Inder Thakur, Leela Mishra, Sheela David and more.

Chori Chori - Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi

Directed by Milan Luthria, Chori Chori starred Ajay Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Sonali Bendre and Smita Jaykar. This 2003 movie was unofficially inspired by 1991 movie Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi directed by Mahesh Bhatt starring Aamir Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Deepak Tijori, Sameer Chitre, Veerendra Saxena, Rakesh Bedi and many more.

Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon – Chitchor

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon starred Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Kapoor, Himani Shivpuri, Pankaj Kapoor, Raju Shrivastav and more. This 2003 movie was unofficially inspired by 1976 movie Chitchor directed by Basu Chatterjee starring Amol Palekar, Zarina Wahab, Vijayendra Ghatge, Dina Pathak, Raju Shrestha, A. K. Hangal, Ritu Kamal and more.

Haseena Maan Jaayegi - Pyar Kiye Jaa

Directed by David Dhawan, Haseena Maan Jaayegi starred Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Kader Khan, Pooja Batra, Karisma Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Aruna Irani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Satish Kaushik and more. This 1999 movie was unofficially inspired by 1966 movie Pyar Kiye Jaa directed by C. V. Sridhar starring Shashi Kapoor, Kishore Kumar, Mumtaz, Mehmood, Om Prakash and more.
