Imtiaz Ali's much-awaited next film Highway that stars Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda is well into its second schedule and is being readied to reach a theatre near you on the second Friday 13 December 2013.

These days Imtiaz Ali and his team have been shooting on real locations for his latest film Highway that traverses through the roads of six Indian states. <em>Highway</em>, as the name suggests, is related to road so it’s being touted as a Road Romance film. The film is being shot on real locations in interior Haryana. On the very first day of shoot on one such real location in Haryana, Imtiaz and his crew were shooting in a house at a village on the outskirts of Faridabad.

With the resounding success of Rockstar still in his mind, director Imtiaz Ali has already started working on his next titled <em>Highway</em>. Going by his past films, love stories and musicals seems to be the forte of this director and <em>Highway</em> seems to be no different. The film is a love story about two very different people who get attracted to each other as the story moves forward. The romantic drama is surely going to be a musical journey.

Always wanting to turn a producer, Rockstar fame Imtiaz Ali will soon realise his dream with Highway that he will co-produce along with Sajid Nadiadwala. It is said that <em>Highway</em> has been conceived by Saif Ali Khan’s <em>Cocktail</em> writer. Sajid loved the fact that Imtiaz showed the inclination to produce the film. He immediately gave his nod. Imtiaz is excited about the fact that he will be a hands-on producer for the first time.

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to have the busiest year of his career so far. In 2013 he will complete 3 films: Abhinav Kashyap’s <em>Besharam</em>, Abhinav’s brother Anurag Kashyap’s <em>Bombay Velvet</em> and then in September Ranbir starts his film with director Imtiaz Ali, a comedy which would feature him opposite Anushka Shrama.
