The demise of Javed Jaffrey's father Jagdeep at the age of 81 was unfortunate for the family as well as the film industry. Many from the industry including Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher paid their tributes to the legendary actor.

Jagdeep was reportedly suffering from a prolonged illness. He breathed his last on 8 July.
