Aditya Chopra pulls out Govinda from bad times; signs him for Kill Dil

In his want to revive the sagging fortunes of Govinda, Aditya Chopra has signed him for YRF’s next <em>Kill Dil</em>. But the actor will play a negative character in the film. Though the actor has played a grey role earlier in <em>Shikari, Kill Dil</em>, to be helmed by Shaad Ali, will be his first out and out negative role. When we pressed the actor to tell something about the character, he said that unlike a totally negative character, the role will be more of a realistic one.

Shaad Ali tipped to direct YRF's Kill Dil

Having made his directorial debut in 2002 with Saathiya for Yash Raj Films (YRF), Shaad Ali has been roped in by the production house to direct their next project Kill Dil that will star Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. Shaad’s second film was <em>Bunty Aur Babli</em> made in 2005, brought together real-life father and son Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan alongside Rani Mukerji. The film turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year.

Shaad Ali all set to make a comeback with a bang

The wonderfully talented Saathiya director Shaad Ali, son of Muzaffar Alli , is back from the wilderness. Nothing was heard from Shaad after his box office fiasco Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom in 2007. Sporadic titbits as to Shaad’s plans to settle in his native village in Uttar Pradesh and to join politics kept trickling into Mumbai from Lucknow and Kanpur where Shaad was stationed. Now, 5 years later Shaad is back. A surprise call from the soft-spoken director ended all speculation.
