In his want to revive the sagging fortunes of Govinda, Aditya Chopra has signed him for YRF’s next Kill Dil. But the actor will play a negative character in the film.
Though the actor has played a grey role earlier in Shikari, Kill Dil, to be helmed by Shaad Ali, will be his first out and out negative role. When we pressed the actor to tell something about the character, he said that unlike a totally negative character, the role will be more of a realistic one.

It may be recalled that way back in 2006, Govinda’s career started nose diving when his home production Sukh fell flat at the box office that led to huge financial losses. As a follow up, the actor refused accepting films like Taal, Devdas and Gadar Ek Prem Katha that resulted in a further decline of his career.
It was then that his friend Salman Khan bailed Govinda out by offering to act with him in David Dhawan’s Partner that turned out to be a big hit. This gave Govinda a much-needed boost.
But that was only for a brief period; he stopped getting any more offers and that led him to lie low. Insiders in the industry felt that it was the age that was coming in as the hindering factor.
If sources are to be believed, Govinda may also star in David Dhawan’s Partner 2 as well.
