As news about the show going off air make the rounds there is some news that may interest readers. In the midst of all this there is a new actor who will now make an entry to the long running soap. Ajay Singh Chaudhary who has been acclaimed for his negative act in Anurag Basu’s Love Story will now be seen in Star Plus’ afternoon show <em> Kumkum </em>. The actor has been shooting since the past two days and his entry will be aired tomorrow.

Bad man of television Faisal Raza Khan is all set to play a positive character in <em> Kumkum</em>. This is the first ever time that the actor is playing a positive role in any show and thus has all the reasons to be upbeat about it.

Arguably one of the most popular afternoon shows <em> Kumkum </em> on Star Plus has completed six years. And to celebrate the success viewers are in for a visual treat where tellyworld ce;ebs will groove to the title track of <em> Om Shanti Om</em>. Jay Bhanushali , Sara Khan with real life boyfriend Ali Merchant and on-screen husband Angad Hasija , <em> Dahejj</em> lead actress Anisha Kapoor, Deepsshikha, Gautam Rode, Rajeshwari Sachdev and many more.

BAG Films went on an intensive hunt for a face who could replace Juhi Parmar in<em> Kumkum</em> after the actress announced her desire to quit the show. Sources from the production house tell us that BAG offered the role of <em> Kumkum</em> to the likes of Samiksha Jug from <em>Zaara</em>. Sources say, “The production house offered many actresses including Samiksha to play the lead of the show but the actresses turned down the offer. The actresses aren’t sure of the fate of the show that has been running for more than five years now.

Gagan Malik who is currently seen as Sharman in <em> Kumkum</em> has got his big break with Zee’s <em> Saath Saath- Banayenge Ek Aashiyana.</em> The story is about two cousins Uday and Abhay. The characters of Uday and Abhay are played by Gagan and Amit Tandon (<em>Indian Idol</em> fame) respectively. Talking about his character Gagan says, “The story revolves around two cousins who are very close to each other. We have come down from abroad and have settled in Delhi. I am playing Uday who is very sweet, positive and respects everyone.”

If rumors are to be believed, the entire cast of <em> Kumkum</em> is going to be reincarnated, as a result of which all the actors will be changed and the show will have all new faces. According to our sources, only Hussain Kuwajerwala would continue doing the show.

After <em> Kyunki</em> and<em> Kahanii,</em> there is another crossover for TV audiences. This time it’s for an afternoon slot with <em> Saarthi </em> and <em>Saarthi</em> coming together. The entire cast and crew of both the serials will be seen in the coming episode.

After playing Nivedita in <em> Kumkum</em> for almost six months now, looks like Shweta Kawatra has decided to call it quits from the afternoon raker.The sultry vamp, better known as Pallavi from <em> Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii,</em> finds it extremely difficult to cope up with the long and gruesome working hours of daily soaps.
