MUMBAI : Three years after late-night TV talk show host Jimmy Kimmel emceed the Oscars, the world's greatest movie awards show will finally have a face when the event airs on March 27 on the American TV network, ABC.
Craig Erwich, President, Hulu Originals & ABC Entertainment, according to 'Variety', made this announcement during ABC's segment of the Television Critics Association virtual press tour. But he didn't elaborate on who it might be. "It might be me," Erwich quipped, before touting his confidence in Oscars executive producer Will Packer.
MUMBAI: The 93rd Academy Awards are being trolled on Twitter for cutting away from hearing-impaired actress Marlee Matlin during her speech. Matlin, the only performer with her condition to have won an Oscar was one of the presenters this year, and was signing her speech along with an interpreter when the telecast cut her midway.A huge uproar has followed on Twitter, with people commenting that it was rude on part of the Oscars to pan the camera away from her when she was signing.A user posted: "And they didn't subtitle when Marlee Matlin was sign-presenting *off camera*.
MUMBAI: Hugh Jackman's brilliant performance as Frank Tassone in Bad Education earned him his first Emmy nomination for acting. The actor was previously nominated four times for his Oscars and Tony Awards hosting duties and ended up winning an Emmy for the 2005 Tony Awards as well.
