The Dadasaheb Phalke Academy will honour filmmaker Yash Chopra, Rajesh Khanna and Asha Bhosle with the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards at 13th Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards ceremony that would be held on 30 April.

India’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna was posthumously awarded his Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award this morning. The award was collected on his behalf by his wife Dimple Kapadia. Khanna died on July 18 last year (2012)
The awards were announced in January (2013) and have been given in phases.
Among others who received awards were industrialists Adi Godrej and artist S H Raza received his Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award.

Today 29 December happens to be the seventieth birth anniversary of legendary actor Rajesh Khanna, when filmmaker Ashok Tyagi had promised to release his film <em>Riyasat</em> a day before. The film has the veteran play an ageing don.

India’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna will be conferred the country's second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan.
This came to light when a high-level committee met yesterday to shortlist the names for Padma Awards.
The committee, which includes Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Pulok Chatterjee, Union Home Secretary R K Singh, actor Ratna Pathak Shah, scientist Anil Kakodkar, shortlisted the names of next year's Padma awardees at the meeting.

The forthcoming edition of the 14th Mumbai Film Festival, presented by Reliance Entertainment and American Express and organised by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) will pay its homage to three veterans who passed away earlier this year.
Coming on top would be homage to Indian cinema’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna on whose name the festival has dedicated a special segment. The late star’s most memorable film <em>Aradhana</em> would be screened on the occasion.

Ashirwad, the landmark home of Rajesh Khanna has been renamed as Vardan Ashirwad.
It is said that it was the late actor’s last wish to rename the bungalow from Ashirwad to Vardan Ashirwad. However, the same could not be done earlier due to his bad health. The name was finally altered only a couple of days back.
It is said that the super star had expressed his wish to his wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters and his son-in-law Akshay Kumar.
