Saat phere completes 500 episodes

Zee TV has been steadily climbing up the TRP charts with regard to daily soaps. One of the prime reasons for this upward swing is also the grand success of its show <em> Saat phere</em>, which aired its 500th episode yesterday. This tale of a simple and dusky girl, Saloni, has indeed appealed to the viewers.

Mazher Sayed, the cameo king

Has Mazher Sayed's character Samar been bumped off from Zee's <em> Saat Phere?</em> Since the actor hasn't been seen much on tv these days, we just called on him to check what's happening. "I'm very much a part of <em>Saat Phere</em>. Its just that my character is tangential due to the new twists and turns in the story. Next week, you'll see my character back in action as I'll expose Kaveri (Aanchal Dwiwedi) and Ginni in front of all the family members."

Sachin Sharma dated Tanushree Dutta!

The It's a story unravelled, untouched by the scribes as the actors are lips sealed about it. On the surface it looks like a sweet love story of a small time actor in love with a sexy siren from Bollywood. Sachin, who's now Krishna, enters Saat Phere

Add mirch to tadka if you want to spice up your curry and a digression to the track if you want to get the TRP's racing. Often with the track change walks in a cameo actor/ress, such is the story with <em>Saat Phere</em> and Sachin Sharma, who has re-christened himself as Krishna. He plays Dev who enters Nahar's mansion at the climax of the show.

Saat Phere producer Sanjay's Singapore experience

That Zee TV's Saloni <em> ke Saat Phere</em> is popular is known to all. But producer Sanjay Wadhwa had a taste of how popular it is a couple of months ago when he was visiting Singapore along with his wife Komal..The two had gone on the famed Singapore Night safari and at the end of it sat down for some refreshments. They got into a conversation with an old couple on the table adjoining theirs. And casually the old man asked him what profession did he follow. Sanjay replied he was the producer of <em> Saat Phere</em>.

Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan… Changing tracks?.

It's going good for Zee TV once again. The channel has managed to rope in audiences with <em> Saat Phere</em> and<em> Kasamh Se</em> which have proved to be a real competition for the rival channels. Now, it's the turn of <em> Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan,</em> which was launched with a lot of fanfare to counter Star's <em> Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki</em> in the 10 pm slot. A few months back the show invited a lot of flak for its regressive representation of women but now it seems to be getting on the right track. Now, its back in news once more.

The unmissable Dheer Kunwarsa of<em> Saat Phere</em> on Zee TV, Ashish Kapoor, is maha thrilled as two of his films are going to be screened at two different film fests, in the coming days. The actor who is packing his bags to Goa is all smiles as he says, "Yes, I am invited to attend the Goa Film Festival where my short film with Rhea Pillai,<em> War or Peace</em> will be shown. It is a film based on the futility of war."
