Beyond Dreams’ Yash Patnaik is coming up with a new show tentatively titled Paheli. The show as the title suggests is about an unsolved mystery and will be launching sometime in January next year on Star One. The show, according to our sources, is set in Gujarat and is about a girl, Kanak and her love Hriday. The production house is yet to finalise the leads of show.

After singing and acting, <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/y2k7/jul/14jul/news_abhijeet.php>Abhijeet Sawant</a> wants to now try his hand at comedy. He will be seen in an episode of <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/after-patnis-woes-gurmeet-choudhary-now-tries-laughter-therapy>Laughter Ke Phatke</a></em>.

Tellychakkar has already reported that Star One is on the verge of a complete makeover and is already in the process of scrapping some of its shows. Now the latest on that front is that the channel has two new shows up its sleeves, one being a comedy and another a reality show both being produced by Playtime Creations. The latter show will replace <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/hum-dono-hain-alag-alag-winds>Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag</a></em> and the comic show will replace <em>Love Ne Milla Di Jodi.</em>

Star One is coming up with an epic for the first time which is titled <em> Shakuntala </em>. It may tentatively go on air from the second week of Jan. A reliable source informs, "A new show titled <em> Shakuntala </em> from the production house of Moti Sagar is coming up on Star One. As the title suggests the story of the show is based on the epic character <em> Shakuntala </em>. The show will focus on the journey of her life from childhood to death. Earlier the story was to be based on the character of Amrapali but then the change was made to <em>Shakuntala </em>.

Hey no this is not the film but a game show on Star One. And going by the title it is a romantic game show. Starting 15th December, the new programme will be a game show of non-celebrity couples. Arguably, the most popular show host in telly town, Shonali Nagrani is back with a bang on Indian television after a successful track record of 5 shows. If sources are to be believed, she is back with a new show <em> Salaam-e-Ishq </em> on Star One.

After the evergreen laugh riot <em> Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai</em>, Star One is back with an all new sitcom<em> Paani Puri</em>. The story is set against the backdrop of two families hailing from different cultures. The Puri and Paani families come to live under the same roof after the marriage of their children Vikas Puri and Divya Paani. It is a romantic humorous show demonstrating clashes between these two families and romance between the couple.

Rati Pandey who created waves with Zee’s <em> Har Ghar Kuch Kheta Hai </em> is all set to make a come back on television with Endemol’s new venture. She’ll be soon seen in a new show on Star One which is still untitled. “I have been finalised to play the lead in the new show. The title is not yet decided and the rest of the other star cast is still to be finalised,” confirms Rati. Elaborating on the story line of the show she explains, “It’s a campus based story and I’ll be portraying a totally different role from what I had done in the past. I’m really excited about this project.”

The winter is nearing its end but actor Mohit Malik has a chilling tale to tell. Mohit who plays Rajvir Kapoor in Star One’s <em> Pari Hoon Main</em> had a tough time enacting a bold scene. As per the script, Mohit, wearing scanty clothes, had to come out of a swimming pool and meet his lady love. However, the water was ice cold and a shivering Mohit resisted jumping into the pool. At this juncture, his director stepped in and asked him to have a few pegs of brandy as it would make him feel warm. Though, a bit apprehensive Mohit finally gulped down few pegs.

Star One??€�s <em> Nach Baliye-3</em> has come up with an innovative idea to catch viewers??€� attention and keep fans updated about the votes each of the jodis is receiving. <em> Nach Baliye</em> has set up a LIVE voting meter at Mahim Causeway, which would calculate the number of votes the two finalists Rakhi-Abhishek and Aamir-Sanjeeda will get on the basis of their SMS votes. The meter will be updated every 15 minutes.
