Right from the time it was announced, Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film with Venkat Prabhu has garnered a lot of attention from fans. Recently, the makers of the film took to social media to reveal the film’s official title as The Greatest of All Time, aka GOAT.
Vijay was assaulted by a furious group of mourners, one of them even smacked him with a slipper. After that occurrence, there was a lot of social media uproar calling on the authorities to charge the offender harshly. A formal complaint has now been filed.
Fans are realising the true price of becoming a celebrity after witnessing all that Tamil superstar Vijay had to suffer on Thursday night. Vijay attended the funeral of his mentor Vijaykanth on December 28 when he was mobbed by a rowdy crowd and media persons.
The actor had requested court intervention for publicity and the actor was fined Rs 1 lakh to be given to the Adyar Cancer Institute, according to Justice N Satish Kumar. According to the Live Law website, the court further stated that the actors' responses to derogatory comments about women were typical human reactions and did not warrant the filing of a defamation lawsuit.
