Folks…here’s news from a show which airs on DD National…it’s called Sukanya Hamari Betiyan. We have learned that the soap will see two new entries in the form of Ravi Bhatia and Amita Nangia. Ravi has acted in Colors’ <em>Veer Shivaji</em> and Channel V’s <em>Gumraah</em>. In <em>Sukanya</em>, he will be seen as Viraj. For the uninitiated, Sukanya is a show which deals with the lives of two married sisters, Trishna (Yamini Thakur) and Akanksha (Meenaxi Arya).

It seems to be the season of betrothal in the telly world. Bad news for the fans of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/veer-shivaji-go-air>Veer Shivaji</a>. We have already reported that this Contiloe Telefilms venture on Colors is going off air. And now we have the date on which it will air for the last time. It is 25 May 2012.

Ruchita Jadhav, better known as Shivaji’s wife Soyarabai from Colors’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/veer-shivaji-go-air>Veer Shivaji</a>, is pretty annoyed these days. Reason? Her show is all set to go off air. Ruchita entered the world of Hindi television with this historical saga after featuring in four Marathi shows. She had a lot of expectations from this Contiloe (Productions) venture, but all her dreams came crashing down with the news of <em>Veer Shivaji</em> coming to an end.

Though a high-profile show, of late, it never managed to gain the desired numbers, and the latest info that we have received is that the channel has decided to pull it off-air.

But of late, the conceptual move has not managed to garner the right numbers. This Contiloe Productions’ show has been slipping down on the TRP ladder.

Colors’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/high-dose-drama-veer-shivaji-post-leap>Veer Shivaji</a> took a leap last month and welcomed a grown up Shivaji. However, the TRPs of this historical drama dropped even with new faces joining the series and new twists and turns being introduced in the story. And now the buzz is that the unit of this show has been sacked.
