Bad news for the fans of Veer Shivaji. We have already reported that this Contiloe Telefilms venture on Colors is going off air. And now we have the date on which it will air for the last time. It is 25 May 2012. This historical saga has not been doing well in terms of TRPs and in spite of having a comparatively impressive plot and good actors, the channel decided to pull the plug on it. A reliable source informed that the show will end with Afzal Khan’s death. The cast and crew will shoot till 8 or 9 May and its last episode will air on 25 May. “Yes, we have been informed by the production house that 25 May is our last telecast date,” Dr Amol Kolhe aka Veer Shivaji went on to confirm. It has been reported that Nautanki Telefilms upcoming show on Colors Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon will replace Veer Shivaji and it is expected to go on air from 28 May 2012. We called up actress Drashti Dhami, the female lead of Madhubala, to learn more about her show but she said that she “has no idea about the show’s on air date yet.” All attempts to reach producer Saurabh Tewari of Nautanki Telefilms proved futile. Hmm…so that’s it…the road ends for Veer Shivaji. Alas!!!
