Vishal Bhardwaj
Vishal Bhardwaj and Ekta Kapoor’s Ek Thi Daayan, directed by Kannan Iyer, is the first thriller-horror to have received a U/A certificate from the Censors.
Contrary to initial perception that the film would be limited only to an adult audience, the U/A certificate clearly establishes the film’s enhanced potential and appeal among the youngsters as much as among adults.

It is a known fact that the Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar combination has dished out ear-pleasing songs in films like Omkara, Ishqiya, Kaminey and 7 Khoon Maaf among others. The duo has again joined hands for Ekta Kapoor’s ALT Entertainment and Vishal Bhardwaj’s VB Pictures’ Ek Thi Daayan.
By this venture, Bhardwaj has taken his love for Gulzar to a new level. In the 'Yaaram' track (set in a house party), the filmmaker has included a scene in which Emraan's character (Bobo) pays an ode to the lyricist by reading out a few couplets from his book.

There is plenty of singing and dancing in this whimsical serio-comic drama about a landlord who when inebriated, becomes one among the peasant class hollering for the blood of the bloodsuckers ,and when sober becomes a tyrant who pushes around his driver-cum-man-Friday with a gusto that most moviegoers would recognize as a sign of power gone to the head.

Vishal Bhardwaj and Ekta Kapoor's forthcoming Emraan Hashmi-starerr Ek Thi Daayan, as the title suggests, is a spooky take on witches.
However, director Kannan Iyer is surprised as the set in the Film City seems to have become a regular visiting ground for animals.
When Kannan began shooting for the film at the studio that is a thickly populated forest area, for the first time, the set got infested with reptiles from nowhere. The entire set had to be cleaned up. That meant that a lot of time was wasted and the shoot got delayed.

It's going to be composer Vishal Bharadwaj’s first score in the English language. And Vishal is kicked, mighty kicked.
Yes, it’s finally happening. After more than a year of dillydallying, the stage musical version of Mira Nair’s 2001 game-changerMonsoon Wedding is finally getting ready to hit the road.
We hear the Bollywood-styled songs will carpet the musical adaptation of the beloved film. Vishal Bhardwaj who has been roped in to do the music will now put on her singing-cap with lyricist Abbas Tyrewalla Mira next month to conjure as many 11 songs for the Broadway-styled musical.
