MUMBAI: The fire incident in Rajan Shahi's "Anupamaa" could have been very tragic, but Anupamaa saved herself and the kids from a big disaster. However, the school administration refused to take the blame on themselves and held Anupamaa responsible for it. So much so that they said that her mental state is not right because of her personal issues. But Anupamaa being Anupamaa refused to accept those claims.
When she was called for a meeting by the school's trustees, she showed them the CCTV footage before the incident where she was asking them to remove the gas stove from her class. But the administration did not accept it as there was no audio. Anupamaa was not ready to take the blame on herself because she said then the incident will happen again, and she doesn't want to risk the life of the kids.

Later, all the kids from her class came inside the meeting room and told the trustees that Anupamaa was not at fault. They told them the truth and the trustees finally believed her and also said that they will take strict action against the culprit.
Anupamaa's name appeared in the paper that she will be conferred with the bravery award. And after a long time we see a happy and proud Anupamaa.
