MUMBAI: TellyChakkar.com is back with interesting insight from the television world. A brand-new channel Ishara will soon launch with an array of wonderful daily soaps. One of them is titled ‘Humkadam’. The show has been exclusively handled by renowned casting director Dheeraj Mishra as far as the casting of the show is concerned. Dheeraj’s experience in the industry has been great. He is known for getting many popular actors on board for various projects. Dheeraj is one of the respected yet humble individuals. TellyChakkar.com contacted him to know his experience of working for a new show and a new channel. He was humble enough to spare some time and answer a few questions. Read the interview below. 

What kind of feedback you received for taking care of the casting part of Ishara's shows? 

The feedback has been very overwhelming; the team had some encouraging words for me. Right from the Creative team to Channel, everyone has appreciated (me) for the casting of the upcoming serial “Humkadam”. 

Casting for a new channel comes with a lot of difficulties and challenges. What were your thoughts before you opted for the show? 

Well, it was certainly challenging because of this unprecedented time we are going through, and as it was an in-house show, casting had to be top-notch which added a bit of extra pressure. But after having gained experience of 7-8 years in this industry, I knew I would pull this off. So, yes, it was challenging rather exciting I would say.

Usually, actors prefer popular GEC channels. How difficult was it to convince them and bring them on board for a new channel like Ishara? 

Yes, there were challenges but as the story was something which we have never seen/heard before, the actors wanted to do something which was new for the audience, so it kind of reduced the difficulty in onboarding them. 

And I would like to thank all the cast members of “Humkadam” for believing in me and being ready to start this journey with Ishaara. 

The hard work will soon pay off as the channel is set to launch. Please share your feelings. 

It's surreal for me not only because of the launch of Ishaara but also because I was the first Casting Director of the channel and also of the in-house show. 

I’m definitely excited and waiting to see how the audience reacts to all our efforts. 

What do you want to say to the viewers? 

All I want to say to all the viewers is to stay tuned and watch out for the exciting and never seen before shows exclusively on Ishara.
