MUMBAI: Lakshmi finds herself unable to reveal the truth to Rishi. Shalu, sensing her distress, confronts her and questions why she’s hiding her pregnancy. Lakshmi explains that Malishka’s pregnancy announcement and her secret involvement with Balwinder have complicated things. She wants to expose Malishka and Balwinder before disclosing her own news to the Oberoi family. Hurt and frustrated by Malishka’s deception, she breaks down, lamenting her lack of evidence. Anushka overhears their conversation, while Shalu tries to comfort Lakshmi.

Later, Anushka gleefully shares what she learned with Kiran, who becomes furious. Malishka, too, is pleased, hoping that Lakshmi’s irritation will lead to a public outburst, drawing Neelam’s wrath. As Neelam welcomes her friend Shailaja and introduces Malishka as her daughter-in-law, she also announces Malishka’s pregnancy. Shailaja congratulates her, while Rishi quietly searches for Lakshmi. He finds her in the kitchen and asks her to behave normally for Neelam’s sake. Lakshmi, emotionally overwhelmed, shouts that she can’t bear to see him beside Malishka.
Rishi walks away, upset, while Shalu urges Lakshmi to stay calm. They return to the gathering, and Lakshmi asks Mukesh to clean the stairs. Anushka, recalling she had already poured oil there, watches as events unfold. During the baby shower, Neelam performs rituals for Malishka. Lakshmi, still disheartened, begins cleaning the stairs, unaware that Anushka has spilled more oil. Malishka pretends to feel faint, and Lakshmi suggests she rest upstairs.

Malishka fakes a fall, aiming to frame Lakshmi. Kiran rushes to her aid and accuses Lakshmi of deliberately trying to harm Malishka and her unborn child. As suspicion falls on Lakshmi, both she and Rishi are left stunned.
