MUMBAI: The ‘Avengers’ are defending their co-star Chris Pratt. Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and director James Gunn have come out in support of the actor against social media trolls.
Chris is best known for his role as Star Lord in the ‘Guardians of The Galaxy’ franchise and the ‘Avengers’ series. He was recently dubbed the ‘worst Hollywood Chris’ in a recent poll. The other actors in the poll included – ‘Thor’ star Chris Hemsworth, ‘Captain America’ star Chris Evans, and ‘Wonder Woman’ star Chris Pine.

According to reports, Twitter users picked Pratt as the famous “Chris that has to go", citing his alleged Republican inclination or claims that he supported a church with anti-LGBTQ views.
Calling him “A real #Christian who lives by #principle,” RDJ heaped praises for his ‘Avengers: Endgame’ co-star in a lengthy Instagram post.
James Gunn, who worked with the actor in the ‘Guardians of The Galaxy’ franchise, said, “Chris himself has openly stated the church he attends doesn’t reflect all of his personal views, and that he is a ‘man who believes that everyone is entitled to love who they want.’”
Zoe, who plays Gamora in Marvel films, also lent her support saying, "You got this @prattprattpratt. Your family, friends, colleagues & everyone who’s ever crossed paths with you knows your heart and your worth!”
Mark Ruffalo, on the other hand, called the controversy a ‘distraction’ as he tweeted, “You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”
