Well, the bad men are here and they mean business!!!
The bad guys--a show just isn’t as complete unless there is at least one person to root against.
These bad men with evil intentions help to add spice to the plot. Watching them portray their characters with utter conviction, all one feels to do is stab them or through them into a pit. The more you hate them, the better an actor he or she is playing a sinister character.
We at Tellychakkar.com have a list of some of these villains of 2013 who managed to make the TV plot even more interesting with their menacing dexterity. (Names arranged alphabetically)
Ankit (Avinash Mukherjee) – Sanskaar – Dharohar Apno Ki: Avinash started his acting career as a cute and adorable husband of Balika Vadhu-Anandi (Avika Gor) after which he was seen playing a grown up mean man in Colors’ Sanskaar. Here, his character Ankit was someone who was greedy for money and power. He tried cheating and back stabbing his elder brother Jay (Jay Soni) to take over his property in the first season of this show. But at the end of the day he got back to his family and asked forgiveness.
Balraj Asthana (Kiran Karmarkar) – Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan: The very talented Kiran Karmarkar was seen essaying the character of Balraj Asthana in this Ravi Ojha Productions show that bombed too soon. However, his role as Balraj was indeed commendable. A rich businessman who wanted his family and business to be run by his own heir thus, he planned and plotted against his very own family after losing his son.
Bobby (Bharat Chawda) - Meri Bhabhi: The very mind-boggling actor Bharat Chawda, who recently tied the knot, was seen as Bobby, Shraddha’s (Kanchi Kaul) greedy husband. He not only ill-treated his innocent wife but also demanded for money before divorcing her. He played a kind of man that most of the woman would want to throw stones at.
Jaswant/ Abhimanyu (Vikas Sethi/Akshat Gupta) - Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se: Both these men were greedy for money. They simply wanted to overtake Balwant Rana’s (Alok Nath) property worth crores of rupees. Thus, while Abhimanyu faked to be a sweet boy in front of Balwant and asked his granddaughter’s hand in marriage, Jaswant tried all means to double cross both Balwant and Abhimanyu. Though they haven’t been successful in their plans yet they’ve tried it all from creating fake property papers to firing bullet at Raghu (Arhaan Behl), Balwant’s heir post his death.
Kartar Singh/Surjit Singh (Harsh Vashisht /Daya Shankar Pandey) – Veera : Though Kartar’s character recently made an exit from the show he was the one responsible for making life miserable for his deceased friend’s children and wife. He always eyed Ratan (Sneha Wagh), in fact, he also went on to kidnap her kids and dump his wife to get Ratan in his life but, he could never achieve his dreams. On the other hand Surjit was simply a money minded man who wanted to cheat a widower Ratan of her property.
Parmeet (Gaurav Chaudhary) – Bani – Ishq Da Kalma: Parmeet turned out to be a very fake man for the protagonist of the show Bani (Shefali Sharma) as he went on to marry her only to leave her alone. His sole intention was to rip her family off some money and move on to con another simple girl and her family. However, the strong willed Bani hasn’t let him achieve his dream. She is still fighting for her rights however; he seems to be stone hearted.
Pramad (Aanshul Trivedi) – Sarswatichandra: He was seen as a drunken abusive husband who poured his life’s frustrations on his simple housewife Kumud (Jennifer Winget) and later on her ex-lover Saras (Gautam Rode). Aanshul has given his best to this role and we really liked his performance here.
Rudra Pratap Singh/ Kalawati (Vishwajeet Pradhan) – Ek Boond Ishq: He is a cross dresser who wants to make life difficult for the lead of the show Mrutyunjay (Viraf Patel). He keeps planning and plotting against him. We like Vishwajeet in a different dual look (wink).
Satya (Akshay Dogra)- Do Dil Ek Jaan This good looking guy would have been the last option to play a rich spoilt brat, but the way Akshay has portrayed this rustic character, full points to him. Satya the dear son of Daya Mai (Pragati Mehra) not only snatched away Raghu’s (Ayaz Ahmed) love Antara (Nikita Sharma) but also all the power that was bestowed upon him. He is the new age villain who knows his job quite well.
Shaurya (Rohit Khurana)/ Veeru (Vishal Singh Kashyap) – Sasural Simar Ka: Egoistic rich brat, someone who gets what he wants and goes to any extent to take revenge. This is indeed a character with high scope of performance and Sahurya aka Rohit essays it perfectly. He is currently the bad man on the show making life miserable for the three pretty women (Avika Gor, Dipika Samson and Falaq Naaz). Another man who had made life quiet messy for the Bharadwaj family was Veeru. He first did malicious things for his then girlfriend Khushi (Jyotsna Chandola) and later for Roli (Avika), who later went on to backstab him.
