MUMBAI: Colors’ Bigg Boss 11 was hugely successful. The controversial contestants ranged from an underworld kingpin’s kin to Indian television’s most-loved bhabhi and bahu.
It has been almost a year since. All the contestants are up to something. Some have signed a new TV soap, while some are going to debut on digital media.
However, there is one thing that still connects the participants like a string of beads. Any guesses? Well, it is their fixation with music videos.
Interestingly, majority of the participants have featured in a music video.
It started with hottie Priyank Sharma, who made it big with a music video titled Buzz alongside Badshah and Astha Gill. The song became a huge hit and gave Sharma much-needed impetus.
The latest to have joined the bandwagon is Hina Khan, who was the runner up in the series. Her song Bhasoodi started trending within its first week itself. Hina was also seen in a different look and attire, unlike her saree-clad on-screen character.
The most notorious contestant in the house, Arshi Khan, was also seen in a sizzling music video. The song was a reprise of Tareefan titled Nakhre. The hot beauty was killing it in a bikini, and her bold moves caught everyone’s attention. Arshi ignited some sparks, and we are not complaining.
Mehjabeen Siddiqui, who didn’t have much of a presence inside the house, also debuted in music video Woofer Woofer alongside her husband.
What do you think of Bigg Boss 11?
Priyank’s good friend and VJ Benafsha Soonawala would also be entering the music video space; her upcoming track will release on 22 July. Suyyash Raii and Splitsvilla fame Divya Aggarwal will also feature in it. The song is titled Bob Marley and sung by Star Boy LOC and Suyyash.
Dancing sensation Sapna Chaudhary had been a part of music videos before entering the house. Even after her exit, she was seen in Haryanvi single Nazar and numerous items songs.
Viral sensation Dhinchak Pooja is known for her music videos. She made a music video titled Aafreen Fatima Bewafa Hai after her exit from Bigg Boss. To no one’s surprise, she was trolled again.
Self-claimed rapper Akash Dadlani’s a rap inside the house called Bang Bang was quite catchy. Akash will soon launch the complete version of the single. This will be the big musical debut he always wanted.
Music videos seem to be hot amongst Bigg Boss 11 participants, probably because it gives them the opportunity to be in the news, since music singles can quickly go viral. Another reason could be less commitment and more money.
Well, it’s a win-win situation for everyone.
