Iconic Bollywood roles that can be reprised by TV celebs!

BW

Trust Bollywood stars to take up a role and make it iconic with their brilliant acting skills.

There have been many iconic characters in Bollywood films such as Gabbar Singh from Sholay, Raj from Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge, Geet from Jab We Met, Rani from Queen and the list is unending.

Though nobody can play these roles better than the original ones, we tried to re-imagine these roles with TV celebs!

Here check out which TV actors could reprise these Bollywood iconic characters:

Jennifer as Isha (Kajol) in Gupt:

The character of Isha, as the crazy lover turned violent psychopath is definitely one of the best performances of Kajol’s career. We think Jennifer could easily pull of the role with equal aplomb. We have seen nailing the role of Maaya in ‘Beyhadh’ which is quite similar to this one.

Shaheer as Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge:

While Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed king of romance, Shaheer is not far away from that image. He can totally pull off a Raj with that charming personality and make all his female fans drool with that smile.

Jitu Shivhare as Baburao (Paresh Rawal) in Hera Pheri:

Baburao Ganpat Rao Apte has to be one of the most iconic characters in Bollywood. While it’s impossible to fill the shoes of Paresh, it would be interesting to see Jitu Shivhare, who plays Gadha Prasad in Chidiyaghar, to play the part. We’re sure he will add his own essence in the character.

Mohit Raina as Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) in Agneepath:

We know Hrithik Roshan has essayed the role perfectly in the remake of the film but wouldn’t it be exciting to see Mohit Raina in the iconic character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan? The man has got the much needed personality, attitude, looks, and acting skills- perfect to reprise Big B’s role.

Sanaya Irani as Geet (Kareena Kapoor) in Jab We Met:

Geet from Jab We Met is considered Kareena’s best performance till date. Her portrayal of a full of life, happy go lucky girl was wonderful. However we think if from TV industry anyone can fit the role, it would be Sanaya. Her bubbly personality and fresh looks would make a perfect Geet.

Ankita Lokhande as Chandni (Sridevi) in Chandni:

We all have loved Sridevi dancing in chiffon sarees in the epic love story Chandni. It was an instant hit and became iconic. We would love to see Ankita portraying the role cause she got the looks and acting chops for the part. It would be exciting watching her sing ‘Tere mere hotho pe’ in the mountains, or dancing to ‘Mere haatho mein nau-nau chudiya hai’.
