Even though she's meant to shadow Gauri and ward off evil at all times, Kali's inner strength shines through. She not only stands for what's right, but also raises a voice against age-old, obsolete beliefs and superstitions.

Kali may be poor, but is highly intelligent … she knows what freedom is and wishes to be free of all the shackles that hold her back in life. She looks forward to having a loving husband, a caring family and a warm house. She truly inspires us to think beyond our obstacles. No problem is so big that we can't work our goals around it. If a slave can think of breaking free, we can do anything in life...isn't it?

She knows that her life is a mess, but she doesn't let it come in the way of spreading joy and being positive. Her vibrant personality, sweet voice and intelligence make everybody take her seriously.
