Marathi mulgis of TV celebrate Gudi Padwa

Today (31 March) happens to be an auspicious day. This day Maharashtrians celebrate Gudi Padwa, their New Year. Maharashtrians begin the day with an auspicious bath, followed by decorating their doorway with a 'toran', perform rituals and hoist the Gudi. The Kalash on top of a stick with a colourful piece of cloth symbolises the victory of Lord Rama over Raavan. Wanting to know how our Maharashtrian TV actresses are spending the day, we talked to a few of them. Here’s what they said:
