Teacher’s Day special: Tellychakkar.com speaks to on screen teachers

 teachers day
It is well said that teacher plays the most important role in a student’s life. On this special occasion of Teacher's Day, we called up few TV actors who have been or played role of a teacher on screen. Let’s read about their ‘masterji’ experience… Actor Krrip Suri who currently plays a teacher’s role in Channel V’s Sadda Haq shared, “It feels wonderful to play a teacher on-screen. Motivating and guiding is very important in today’s time. By playing a teacher I feel blessed to contribute to the society and that too via television medium which is watched by millions. In real life my dad is my mentor. He has always taught me to respect others and to lead a positive life. He is a self made man and has achieved success with hard work. I also want to follow his steps as there is no short cut to achieve success. He is my inspiration and a great mentor. My fond memory with my teachers is during my school days. I miss those days and wish to meet all my teachers very soon.” Manav Gohil who portrayed a professor’s role in Remix and The Buddy Project, said, “Well, playing a teacher on-screen is just a part of acting. But if we talk about teachers in real life then there are many teachers who have contributed in my life. I believe a good teacher plays the perfect role of an educator, guide, inspirational guru and a friend. My real life mentor is Dr Daisaku Ikeda who is an Educator and Buddhist Philosopher. Also my childhood teachers Mrs Shah and J C Shukla have been my favourite teachers for being kind, warm and patient.” Mandar Chandwadkar better known as Bhide from Taarak Mehta averred, “Playing a teacher is always a great experience. Mandar and Bhide have lot of similarities. In the show I teach and groom Tapu sena and in real life I have 5 year young son with whom I behave the same. Every child looks up to their teacher and I look up to many people who have contributed in my life. Everybody needs proper guidance in life and that you can get only from your parents and mentor. My real life mentor is my childhood teacher Mr Vikas and one trait I have got in myself is to live a disciplined life.” “It was one of my favourite and toughest roles of playing a teacher on screen. It is well known that I was against that idea of child marriage in the show and used to educate masses on the same in Balika Vadhu. But in reality I feel other than kids there are many parents who should be well educated. There is something beyond than school syllabus. I believe parents and teachers are child’s future. My real life mentor is my mother Muneera Surati. She has always taught me that no matter what the situation, always look for a solution,” added Sadiya Siddiqui who played Anandi’s teacher in Balika Vadhu. Other actors who played a teacher on-screen are Toral Rasputra in Balika Vadhu, Pankaj Bhatia in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Shruti Bapna in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Pooja Joshi in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. We also would like to mention Vinay Pathak’s commendable performance in Hip Hip Hurray. Share your teacher experience in the comment section below.
