TV Celebs And Their Ramzan Memories

TV Celebs And Their Ramzan Memories

It is the last week of the holy month of Ramzan and TV celebs definitely know how to make it count.

The harsh environment on the sets that have them working strenuously do not deter them from observing fasts or praying hard.

Tellychakkar.com got them talking about how important Ramzan is and the memories associated with it. Read on…

Aly Goni- I observe all the rozas and try to never miss it. Iftar party is always a memorable time for me with the entire cast and crew coming together. Although it is a difficult task, I do most of my scenes while fasting. It is all Allah’s reham that he gives me so much strength. Ramzan is definitely my most favourite month!

Shafaq Naaz- It is a believed that fasting in the month of Ramzan purifies the soul and prayers after fasting save them from going to hell. So during the month of Ramzan, we lead a pure and holy life. We observe fasts, offer regular prayers in the form of Namaz, read the Quran, feed the hungry, and give alms to the poor. It's very difficult to shoot and observe Rozas as we have to keep talking. There are other Muslims too on the sets, and thus, our director gives us a break to have Iftaar, which is a special celebration. I miss Meerut, my hometown, as the entire family used to come together during Ramzan!

Waseem Mushtaq- Ramzan is a very important part of any Muslim’s life. The first few days are difficult to adjust, but after that it becomes a routine. I love working during the Ramzans. The Iftaars on the sets are like parties. I love the overall positivity of the month. I used to carry sharbat with my dad every day to the mosque for people and used to help with its distribution. I really miss those days.

Sana Khan- Ramzan is very important to me. I have been fasting since I was 12. As for as work is concerned, I don't take up any shoot in this holy month. Also, for the last two years, my mom and I have been going for Umraah. By far, those have been the best Ramzam days as I get to learn more about my religion and prophet. Also, getting to see the actual places where these religious events took place is a special glory.

Salman Yusuff Khan- Ramzan is the most cherished month for me in the year. I have grown up celebrating the month religiously. For me, it is a discipline, if I can control my hunger and thirst in this month doing my intense work, which sometimes is 16-odd hours of dancing, I can do anything. For me, fasting is like meditation, and I have been accustomed to it since childhood. I remember when I was in the 5th grade, a friend got us chocolates for his birthday. I kept that bar of Mars in my pocket the whole day, but just a few hours before breaking the fast, I gobbled it. I was so guilt- stricken; I learnt an important lesson that day. It is always better to have self-control.

Adaa Khan- It is a beautiful month where the entire family comes together and celebrates the purity of our religion. Most of my memories are with my mom, and I am missing her terribly. I try to observe as many rozas as I can, but owing to health issues, I sometimes have to give up. Also, it is said that Allah is closest to us and grants all our wishes in Ramzan. So I pray a lot and also ask for forgiveness. One should just be happy in Ramzan and have a great time with one’s family.

Aamir Dalvi- It’s the holy month and the best way to detox. I fast whenever I have an off as Shapath is a very physically demanding show so fasting during shoots is not possible. Rasha, my 10-year-old daughter has been fasting for the past 2 years. And she ends up observing almost 27-28 rozas and that is so embarrassing for me (smiles). I hope and pray that I have enough strength to do the same. Best memories are of the days when I have an off and we all break our fasts together. Also, staying up all night for Sehri is something that I cherish. Such beautiful memories make Ramzan really special for me.

Firoza Khan- It is a very positive time and not just Muslims, but people of all religion come together to celebrate Ramzan. I think all of us wait for it. I have seen my non-Muslim friends respect this practice. Ramzan is very important to me and I observe all rozas whether I am working or not. There is a calmness and strength that helps sail through hunger and thirst. Also, one should give charity as your returns of good deeds are seventy times! The practice of rozas is imbibed in us from childhood, so it is not tough for us!

Isn’t it amazing?
