The holy month of Ramzan kick started a couple of days back and on a pious note, Tellychakkar.com spoke to few television actors who pray and fast during this divine season. Take a look.
There are many memories that are associated with regards to Ramzan and it can be elucidated with Akhlaque Khan as he quotes about the same. “When the entire rite of Ramzan came into being there used to be spare time and this made it a lot easier to fast in the good old days as compared to now. However I am not fasting this year, I think some concession should be inclined to eating nowadays.”
Firoza Khan says that she is accustomed to fasting. “I love eating fruits and my dad usually cooks for me during Ramzan. Once I am done shooting I have eighteen different dishes laid out before me. The season of Ramzan is always been very special to me since the Quran states that if a beggar is offered money once, the almighty gives it back in a manner which may be unknown to some.”
Sara Khan propagates that Ramzan still holds prominence in the minds of the people in spite of the materialism and fad that people are adhered to nowadays. “I’d say that the month of Ramzan is considered to be a symbol of sanctity and that there are people who religiously and genuinely follow this ritual of fasting. We not only pray but also dedicate ourselves to God completely. I always fast since it is a season where in one cannot perform any sorts of immoral deeds.”
Rafi Malik asserts that the month of Ramzan is very holy and sacred. “Ramzan is very important for me. I am a fitness freak and thus I always end up eating healthy food stuff like fruits as they are protein boosters. And I think fasting during Ramzan does not forge hindrances and my job keeps me pretty busy all the time and gradually I forget about the fact that I am fasting.”
The very good looking Sanjeeda Sheikh says, “I avoid fasting while I am shooting, but I make it a point to pray every day as he has sparked many a blessings over me and also over my loved ones. However I look forward towards that day when I would not be shooting and would be fasting at the same time so that I could share quality time with my parents.”
Mohammad Nazim shares, “Ramzan is very important to me and the first thing that I have once the fast is over is water in combination with ghar ka khana. It is undoubtedly challenging especially for actors like us who are involved actively in working environments.”
It’s better not to relate modernism and religion, says Waseem Mushtaq, “Ramzan has been very important to me. I have spent almost nine years fasting and it has been a spiritual experience. My mind is actually trained in order to adapt fasting and being disciplined in a way that my mind is controlled simultaneously. Once my day is completed I usually munch on fruits and sip on a smoothie. It’s better to avoid fried food stuff, dates and milk are more preferable. Also modernism does not go hand-in-hand with religion since they are two different aspects.”
The very ardent and amusing Ayaz Khan stays focused and calm during Ramzan. “I think Ramzan keeps the state of mind in an organized condition. At the same time it refrains one from transgression and foul lingual expression. I am habituated to munching on dates that is affirmed not as obligatory.”
Well, thus wishing one and all Ramzan Mubarak.
